We do not vaccinate our birds.  We believe that vaccination only covers up disease for one generation and once started you will have to do so every generation.  We feel that we should be aiming towards breeding disease out of our strains, not just covering them up with vaccinations.  It is a condition of sale that you fully understand this.  Silkies are very suceptable to mareks disease, unfortunately it is in their genetics and cannot be cured, but there are lots of ways that it can be brought on. Stress is one way.  We would never sell any birds that we feel are not fit enough to be sold and you must understand that we cannot be held responsible for any birds that become poorly once purchased.
